My First impressions of Bangkok Thai

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand and before Bangkok, it was Ayutthaya we all know Bangkok is a very famous tourist destination. People from all over the world visit Bangkok to enjoy their holiday.

Here I will share my first impressions of Bangkok Thai. I was very excited to visit Bangkok because I hear a lot about Bangkok. You will find many Indians in Bangkok.

I spend almost 8 days in Thailand 4 days in Pattaya and 4 days in Bangkok.

Read the article Things To Do At Pattaya Thailand.

The first thing I book the flight & hotel. Thailand provides a visa-on-arrival facility and charges for a visa of 2000 baht. So the Bangkok currency is the Thai baht. Thai currency work all over Thailand country we know Bangkok is the capital of Thailand.

When I arrived at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport I directly went to Pattaya by bus from the airport.

But In this post, I will not talk about Pattaya. I will only share my experience in Bangkok.

My First Impression of Bangkok City

bangkok city

When I enter Bangkok City my first impression was the people. The Thai people are where kind and soft spoken but not too many people know the English language.

I’m getting a little difficult to communicate but it is manageable.

While traveling to the hotel room I saw the road was so clean, with high buildings, and luxury cars. While seeing all these things I could not control my excitement I am shouting like a child I was so happy.

Though I have already seen pictures and videos about Bangkok on the internet. But I am experiencing this physically.

Bangkok city is one of the hottest cities in the world and it is extremely humid. Bangkok is rich in cultural landmarks, and street life.

But I love this city the energy of the people from Bangkok is very high and they are very humble and supportive that what I have experienced.

Best place to stay in Bangkok for tourist

Most tourists people and backpackers prefer to stay in the Sukhumvit area in Bangkok. In the Sukhumvit area, there are big shopping malls, Thai massage shops, hotels, and food restaurants.

It is best to book a hotel room in the Sukhumvit area but at the time of hotel booking, I am getting a much cheaper rate away from the Sukhumvit area.

Our hotel room is almost 7 km away from the Sukhumvit area.

On the first day of our Bangkok trip, we decided that we will be going to explore the city by local transportation and by walking.

This Fruits I have never tested before

In this city every 400 to 500 meters, you will find fruit stalls and all the fruits are fresh. There are many fruits I saw in Bangkok that I have never seen in my country India.

I remember I went to the Chinatown market and I saw many Thai people eating durian fruit.

I wanted to taste that fruit so I buy durian fruit for 60 baht. They sell durian on weight. So I just want to taste the fruit they gave me a small piece for 60 baht after measuring the weight of the fruit.

Durian fruits are very sweet and creamy in taste you must try this fruit if you went to Bangkok.

I used local transportation

In the entire city, a red color non-AC bus is completely free with that bus you can travel anywhere in the city without buying a ticket.

I heard this from Thai and tourist people but personally, I have not experienced that but next time I love to do that.

But I have experienced a tuk-tuk rickshaw ride but before sitting on a tuk-tuk you must be fixed the price otherwise they charge you very high.

After the tuk-tuk ride, we were hungry so I want to try local food on the street.

Street Food

There is too much street food in Bangkok. I am a non-vegetarian I don’t have any problem eating street food because mostly you will find non-veg food on the street.

You will find veg food on the street but options are very limited if you are vegetarian then 7 eleven is the best option for you there are many 7 eleven shops you will find in the entire city.

I order egg steamed rice with chicken soup it cost me 90 baht. Then after a few hours when get a little hungry but this time I wanted to try Thai veg food.

So I could not stop myself to taste other street food dishes.

So I order a mango sticky rice worth 100 baht in that I got coconut milk, rice, and mango I like that combination of sweetness from the mango and salty taste from the rice I love that taste.

So what I noticed in Bangkok is that people are very hardworking Women actively work more compare to men. I might be wrong but that’s what I noticed.

Shopping malls

You will find many shopping malls in the city such as Terminal 21, MBK, siam paragon, etc. But the Sukhumvit area is mostly very famous for its big shopping malls.

I visited the MBK center I have never seen such as huge shopping mall in my life. You will find everything over here from restaurants, hospitals, shops Branded products, the second market literally everything you will get over.

MBK shopping mall was opened in 1985 and at that time it was one of the biggest shopping in Asia. MBK Center shopping mall is very popular among local Thai people.

That Centralworld Mall is the 11th biggest shopping mall in the world. But I have not visited that mall on our next trip to Bangkok I will definitely visit the central world mall.

Buddhist Temple in Bangkok

bangkok

Thailand is a Buddhist country and you will find many Buddhist temples all over Thailand.

If you visited Bangkok and did not visit the Buddhist temple then your trip will not be complete you missed a very big thing.

Well in Bangkok city I visited wat pho Reclining Buddha Temple, Wat Arun Temple, and Grand Palace.

Each temple has a different entry ticket price well I remember there was a 200 baht ticket for wat pho temple.

When I enter the temple my mouth was open in shock I have never seen such a beautiful Buddhist temple. The temple is so huge with great architects on it that I was mesmerized.

In the temple, there is complete gold from the inside amazing never miss the chance to visit a Buddhist temple if you were in Bangkok.

When I visited wat pho Reclining Buddha temple I get to know the reclining Buddha is one of the largest Buddha statues in the whole world.

Please give a comment is this really the biggest Buddha statue in the whole world?

The next temple I visited was Wat Arun temple we have to take a ferry ride well it cost me a ferry ride of 4 baht it will take 5 to 10 min to reach Wat Arun temple.

Entry ticket for Wat Arun temple is 50 baht per person I highly recommend this temple must visit the temple.

While climbing the stairs I witness you need good stamina and carefully you have to climb up and come down. But after climbing the stairs I witness the beauty of this temple.

What Bangkok is famous for?

It is famous for Thai massage, luxury life, Buddhist temple, nightlife, beaches, shopping, and street shopping is very famous in Bangkok you can do shopping at a very cheap rate but you must need good bargaining skills.
