In this article, I will share my river rafting experience in Kullu Manali. I have planned a 6 to 7 days trip to Shimla and Kullu Manali. From Pune, by flight, I went to Amritsar.

How I Did River Rafting In Kullu Manali
While on the bus way to Kullu Manali, I saw there are many tourists doing river rafting they were screaming and enjoying. watching from the bus the River rafting looks so scary when I saw the way people were screaming that time only I decided I will not do the river rafting.
At 7 pm evening we reached the hotel room in Manali it took us 7 hours to reach Manali by road from Chandigarh.
On our day 1 trip, we explored Manali and on day 2 we went to Rohtang on day 3 our group members have the plan to do adventure sports such as paragliding and river rafting, and on the 4th-day trip, we went to Kufri.

When Our group members reached the Beas river for river rafting I already fixed my mind that I will not do the river rafting I will just watch and enjoy.
Our Group members Patil sir and Sourav were forcing me to do river rafting. But to be honest, it looks scary the flow of the river is very fast and also the river sound is very high.
But when I saw everyone around me doing river rafting and they were enjoying then I changed my mind let’s try this.
They have given me a life jacket and helmet to wear then I sat on the boat with ten other people. It was a 14 km patch when the boat started my heart was in my mouth I closed my eyes and started screaming.
Ten other people looked at me and started laughing I still remember that but after 1 to 2 km of river rafting, I started enjoying it was a lifetime experience.
Best time for river rafting in Manali?
The best time for river rafting is from march to June. But remember you may not able to experience snowfall during this month. If you want to experience the thrill of rafting then visit this month.
What is the cost of river rafting in Manali?
Well, it cost me 700 rupees per person remember the price may get change every time and also the price depends on the river rafting distance.
What happens if you fall while doing river rafting?
Yes, people may fall while doing river rafting. But we have a life jackets so the instructor and their team will easily catch us.
Can I go river rafting if I can’t swim?
Yes, you can go I am a non-swimmer still I did river rafting. They give us safety instructions and provide a life jacket but if you have a water phobia then I recommend not go for river rafting.
River rafting in Manali age limit?
They told us that river rafting age limits above 14 years and above 55 years were not allowed.
How I Explore Shimla And Kullu Manali?
It was a total 6 to 7 days trip to Himachal Pradesh so we have already planned the places that we will be going to explore in Shimla and Kullu Manali.
So by Chandigarh by private bus we reached Manali at 7 o clock evening it took us 7 hours to reach.
When I woke up at next morning my head started spinning I was so sick I could not walk. when I walk my head started spinning I got mountain sickness.
But after taking a tablet and resting for 3-hour I felt much better. Then at 12 o clock, we went to Hadimba temple. It is a Hindu temple which is built with wood it was a quite old temple this temple must visit the temple.
So after spending 2 hours in Hadimba temple we did our dinner at mall road a veg thali and chicken Momos. Those who are planning to visit Manali don’t forget to taste chicken momos it was so delicious.
After dinner, we went to mall road garden. This is a well-maintained garden I click a couple of pictures in the garden as you can see.
Then at the evening 6 pm again we went to mall road. Mall road was so happening in the evening it was full of tourists with families, couples, and youngsters.
In this way, our day 1 trip to Kullu Manali has ended.
Day 2 and Day 3 trip to Kullu Manali
On day 2 we went to Rohtang by private car so we booked this car from the hotel. From Manali to Rohtang is 52 kilometers and is 2 hour’s journey.
As our car is moving up the mountain Ghat road the road got very narrow and zig zag we were so scared all people seating in the car has never seen such as dangerous mountain road.
All the drivers from Himachal Pradesh are very skillful. To drive a car in mountains you need very skillful driving. So the driver from Himachal Pradesh is driving their car or bus in the mountains for the past many years so they know how to drive in mountains.
After 2 journeys we finally reached Rohtang. There we did snow adventure activities such as skiing and snow scooters so we spent almost the whole day in Rohtang playing with the snow and doing many other snow adventure activities we had great fun. So at 5 pm, we sat in the car way to our hotel room in Manali.
On day 3 we did river rafting as we already discussed above how I did river rafting in Kullu Manali.
Day 4 and Day 5
On the 4th day of our trip, we plan to go to Kufri which is 265 km from Manali. So we were 3 separate families with a total of 15 members we booked mini bus of total 15 member seat.
As our bus moves to Kufri we are getting too much traffic by seeing the traffic we realize it will be a very long journey. Because of the heavy traffic covering 265 km, it took us 12 hours to reach Kufri.
Everyone was so tired because of this long journey as soon as we reach immediately we went to our hotel room as we already booked online.
Kufri is a hill station which is in the Shimla district.
Day 5 Trip in Shimla
The next day we did our breakfast and then we were on our way to Kufri hill station. Now to reach the hill station we have to go by horse.
The horse ride cost us 500 rupees per person. In Kufri hill station there are many adventure sports activities such as zip line, bridge jump, valley crossing, zorbing, etc.
So we spent almost 5 hours at Kufri hill station we did some adventure activities and I tested yak milk.
To be honest I like the taste of yak milk. At 4 clock evening through a horse ride, we left Kufri hill station and reach our hotel so in this way our day 5 trip ended.
Day 6
On day 6 we plan to explore Shimla which is 16 km from our hotel in Kufri. So by our minibus, we reached Shimla.
We have seen Tara devi temple, the Indian institute advance studies (The price is 30 rupees per person, and exploring the building from inside it has a separate ticket price of 200 per person), Jakhu temple is Hindu temple it is also one of the most famous tourist places in Shimla.
Also, we explore Shimla mall road and the ridge.
In Shimla the ridge is very famous there are many Bollywood movies has been shoot the most popular movie which has been shoot in Shimla (In the ridge) is 3 idiots.
We did the shopping, clicked a couple of pictures, and tested ice cream so by spending a couple of hours on Shimla mall road this way our Kullu Manali, Shimla trip happily ended.
