This article will help you to know tour places in Hyderabad and how to explore Hyderabad. Here I will share my personal experience of how I explored Hyderabad city by using public transportation such as local buses, metro, and rickshaws.

I have decided that I will go to Hyderabad by bus and get back to my home city by bus only.

If you have decided that you are going to Hyderabad the first thing that comes to your mind is to book a hotel room.

Are you going with family click here to book a hotel or if you are traveling solo or with a friend, then you can book a hostel at a very cheap rate.

My journey started from Aurangabad(Maharashtra) to Udgir. In this journey I am not traveling alone, my friend Anil is also coming who lives in Udgir.

Though it has a direct train from Aurangabad to Hyderabad I wished to take private and government bus experience.

So I have booked a bus from Aurangabad to Udgir. It was a night journey. Nearly at 6 am, I got down in Udgir from the bus where my friend Anil was there to welcome me. We had a great chat and then we went to his home.

As it was quite early, we went to the rooftop where there were sparrows sitting on an electric pole and it was a lovely experience. Then we had tea and he showed me his farm.

He took me on a tour of his farm where they sowed groundnut, Gahu, and har bara and also took the blessing of his grandparents at their samadhi.

After getting fresh up we went to Appa Hotel which is famous in Udgir for dosa and idli. After having a lavish breakfast, we went to see Udgir Fort.

At 11 am we boarded a government bus to Bidar from Udgir. The bus was crowded with people but luckily we got a seat. Trust me I was enjoying the bus journey.

things to do at hyderabad

On our bus journey to reach Hyderabad, we have to cross three different states Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Telangana. Hyderabad is the capital of Telangana.

Our bus journey from Udgir to Bidar is almost 2 and a half hours. We reached Bidar at 1:30 p.m.

In Bidar, we went to take the blessing of Guru Nanak in Gurudwara. Here nearly 500 years ago, when the people requested Guru Nanak for drinking water, he touched his toe on earth, and by the blessing of Guru Nanak, the drinking water erupted from the earth which is still flowing.

This gurudwara has a very large area and is very clean. In Gurudwara, we spent 2 hours.

Then we took the bus from Bidar to Hyderabad. The bus was full of crowds but we were so lucky that we got the seat.

In the evening we reached Begumpet, Hyderabad where Anil has made all the arrangements for our stay. As Anil stayed here with his friends we had no problem.

His friends welcomed us and gave us a separate room. We got freshened up. As we were tired from the journey, we had dinner and went to sleep.

The next day we got up early and freshened up. Friends of Anil were very kind and humble. Then we had a breakfast of Bonda(a specialty of Hyderabad) and idli.

We have already decided that we will be going to explore most parts of Hyderabad by local bus.

So we have purchased a 100 Rupees ticket per candidate which is valid for 24 hours.

With a 100 Rupees ticket, you can travel anywhere in Hyderabad city by bus. You can change multiple buses and it is valid for 24 hours.
